Students at Smithtown High School West have access to constant assistance from the school’s faculty and administration.

The Sill Pantry, which is housed at Smithtown High School West, will be open to the general public on the first Monday of every week from the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., beginning on the first Monday of the week. During this time period, families will have the option to pick up non-perishable food items as well as toiletries that are being donated by the Red Cross and distributed around the area. These products will be scattered over the region.

Students who are enrolled in the F.A.S.T. program are tasked with the responsibility of assisting with the stocking of the shelves with the various things that are available there. Up until the final day of summer school, which is on Monday, August 15, the curriculum will continue as normal. After that, it will begin once again in the autumn with a fresh slate. On Monday, August 15, students will attend their last summer class. Classes will be held throughout the summer.

Donations may be made to the school’s food pantry by dropping them in the collection can that is situated at the High School West Visitor Entrance. This can be done by anybody who wishes to make a contribution to the school’s food pantry.

Greg Sill, who had worked as a history teacher at High School West in the past but had left his position there in March, was recognized by having the school’s pantry named after him. Sill had previously been employed at the school. Sill had left his position there earlier in the year after being employed there for a while.
